Ours is a faith which is founded on the central theme of LOVE.
We have 2 primary laws 1. Love God and 2. Love all.
What does this mean for us - since love has many forms, brotherly, sisterly, love as a parent, a friend, or romantically. Agape love is 'all-encompassing' which is the premise from which we approach love. This does not mean we are gullible or a 'soft-target' it simply means that we have a 'gentle' approach to all whom God has placed on our everyday path. It does not imply that we are or ever will be perfect, it is acceptance and humble admission that we are imperfect and that we make every effort to be the best version of ourselves, and in so doing, refrain from judging others who, just like us, are not perfect either. God being tangible to us, is as the very air that we breathe, we cannot see the air, but we know that like air, God is real and we draw strength from our Faith in Him.
When we set out to 'love all' we do not hurt others, as it is outlined in the original commandments - no false account of anyone, no stealing, lies, murder, adultery etc. In this way, we set out to treat others the way we would love to be treated. With this approach, we set out to increase more 'good' in the world, than the 'darkness' that we see around us on plenty of occasions. We strive to bring hope, and the message of eternal life after our earthly death, and in so doing, breaking the cycle of evil that we grapple with in the world. We intercept with love as far as we are able, while Christ intercedes for us to our one Heavenly Father and Creator God of all that exists.
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” — 1 John 4:8
