Cottages: The running costs of the church is quite high given the location and also the age of the buildings. As such the church is supported by several cottages which generate an income for the church.
The weekend market on the church Rectory grounds - this market upholds the flow of income for the church as the congregation is an elderly congregation, with some people from neighbouring communities whose parents and grandparents were once parishioners or local fishermen. The market takes place weekends, as it is outdoors, it does not operate on rainy days. Holidays are other occasions that the market remains open.

A church has running costs - water, electricity, telephone, internet, communion supplies, staff salary etc. A priest needs to get to hospitals and funerals, also parishioner homes who need Holy Communion and prayers.
Also, the grounds require maintenance and it all adds up.
