Cottages: The running costs of the church is quite high given the location and also the age of the buildings. As such the church is supported by several cottages which generate an income for the church.
The weekend market on the church Rectory grounds - this market upholds the flow of income for the church as the congregation is an elderly congregation, with some people from neighbouring communities whose parents and grandparents were once parishioners or local fishermen. The market, (weather permitting) takes place weekends and public holidays.
A church functions on many levels beyond Sundays. We have outreach organisations within the church which work with the local community to help eliminate poverty and break despair. Apart from the outreach, we also have running costs, such as electricity, water, telephone and grounds. All of the above helps however, regular pledges and fundraising are necessary to maintain the church, which is the hub of community and spiritual outreach and growth.
